LIF celebrated the international customs day in its own version wherein students are urged to appreciate the spirit of coordination, cooperation and communication as paramount core values of becoming “total customs administrators” in the near future.
LIF celebrated the day in five parts. The first part of the celebrations was an ecumenical morning devotion (spiritual) attended by customs students, faculty members, deans and heads, and the non-teaching staffs. The morning devotion was facilitated for by the Library Department. This part serves as the formal opening of the celebration.
The second part was a battle of the brain activities which includes quiz bowl, essay writing, extemporaneous speech, and poster making. These events were participated in by customs students who were grouped into five as follows: customs brokers group, customs appraisers group, customs examiners group, customs collectors group, and customs inspectors group.
The third part was a basketball exhibition played among customs students who were teamed according to their year level.
The fourth part was a social night attended by all customs students and preceptors in their astounding and glittering formal evening wear.
Finally, , the fifth part was the culmination ceremony to where the winners for various events were recognized. Part of the culmination ceremony was recognition for students who excel in academics and leadership during the current school year.
