The recent implementation of new excise tax computation
under RA No. 10351 as implemented by BIR RR No. 17-2012 is a vital subject
areas which our students and customs practitioners needs to be updated with
considering that this reform program of the government brought larger
responsibilities among customs stakeholders to which understanding its
fundamental principles is indispensable.
As we are committed to bring updated information to our
stakeholders, specifically to our students who would be affected as this law
shall take part of their licensure examination in October 2013, the College of
Customs Administration held a workshop seminar on RA No. 10351 as implemented
by the Bureau of Internal Revenue Regulation No. 17-2012 on February 1, 2013 in
Lyceum of Iligan Foundation’s AVR. A caliber speaker who has enormous experience
(to the subject matter) to impart was sourced out in the person of Dr. Jesus G.
Llorando, Port of Manila Customs Examiner/Appraiser and Executive Director of
the Llave Review and Training Center.
